We’ve just had a home come on the market in the cozy little town of Talking Rock which is in Pickens County right at the base of the North Georgia mountains. Not only is this four bedroom, three bathroom house with over 3,000 square feet a great place to call home (click here to see the listing), but it’s nestled in a great area.
While Talking Rock is the third smallest town in the state of Georgia, it has a big history filled with stories of the Trail of Tears, the Civil War and even the Great Depression.
Every October, Talking Rock hosts the Heritage Days Festival, one of the town’s annual highlights. Vendors from around the state join with shop owners for the two-day festival, which includes food, fun and music.
You can also visit Talking Rock Town Park for a great picnic by the creek or take a stroll down Main Street and do some antique shopping. Be sure to stop by Latchstring Merchantile for some fun gifts and sip on coffee in their coffee shop!
If you want to get away from it all and enjoy the perks of small town living, Talking Rock is the perfect place for you!
