Hiking and Running Trails
Lake Arrowhead includes an impressive trails system that runs 8+ miles along the lake’s shoreline, woodlands and creek beds. The trails are great for walking, running, or hiking.
The championship Highlands Course is considered one of the best golf courses in Georgia. It was named the ‘Best Golf Course in Cherokee County in 2010’ by Cherokee Life Magazine.
Boating and Fishing
The Lake Arrowhead Marina and the Boathouse are operated by Kingdom Yachts Sailing Club (KYSC). KYSC is a family-based organization that started teaching certified American Sailing Association (ASA) sailing lessons over 25 years ago on Lake Sydney Lanier. At Lake Arrowhead, they offer lessons (both on-shore and off), day camps, trips, boat rentals, and boat rides.
Red Cloud Park, the community’s original swim & tennis center, is a popular gathering place within Lake Arrowhead. Red Cloud Park was completely renovated a few years ago. There is also a new state-of-the-art swim and sports complex, Great Festival Park, that has everything from a junior-Olympic sized pool to an eco-garden area.
