They just moved into their new home and it’s time for you to make a visit! While you could arrive empty-handed with no issues, you might have the urge to take the new homeowners a little gift. Struggling with what to bring? Here’s our list of some great house warming presents!
Gift Card (Hardware Store or Restaurant)
This could either be a gift card to the local hardware store or a gift card to a restaurant or store in the area that they have yet to try. We also think a gift card for take out food or delivery is helpful when they are still unloading moving boxes and don’t want to stop unpacking just to cook dinner! You just can’t go wrong with a gift card!
Blue Tooth Speaker
There are quite a few portable speaker options out there these days, but it’s a really nice gift! It’s perfect for future times when they entertain, but it’s also nice to be able to take some good tunes from room to room while unpacking.
Pretty Fire Extinguisher
Homeowners rarely have a fire extinguisher in the house and it usually ends up being #101 on the list of items they need to buy. However, it could potentially save their new home in case of a fire. There are plenty of websites that sell decorative fire extinguishers in case they don’t want to hang the bright red one on a wall or store it under a cabinet! Check them out here!
Painting of the House
This idea is becoming very popular because it’s such a keepsake. There are lots of artists that would paint a picture of the house on canvas so the new homeowners could hang it in a hallway or foyer. It’s meaningful and adds decor instantly! All you have to do is get a picture of the house and they will absolutely love it!
Let’s be frank, a nice bottle of champagne or wine to toast the new house is always a welcomed gift (if they are into this sort of thing). It also makes unpacking a bit easier! If they aren’t alcohol drinkers, a nice bottle of sparking cider, or a tin of coffees and teas is just as lovely.
