Established in 1830, Cherokee county is located in northern Georgia, about 35 miles north of Atlanta. As of 2013, the population was 225,300. The county’s slogan is “Where metro meets the mountain” and provides a good comprise between urban and rural living. Easy access to major highways and interstates such as I-575, I-75, and GA-400 make it an ideal place to live, work, and play.
